Take your Tastebuds on Tour with Etihad

Etihad brings Aussies and Brits together over their shared love of food.

Etihad Airways teamed up with Visit Britain to celebrate its Sydney to UK flights by taking Australians on a tastebud tour of the greatest culinary destinations in the UK. Following notable Aussie chef Nelly Robinson from nel’s restaurant in Sydney, Tastebuds on Tour showcases the new culinary legends in each city.

In the series of 3-minute films, we travel to London, Manchester and Edinburgh to explore their unique culinary offerings with some of the most exciting chef ambassadors in each city.

Nelly takes a look at the unique food scene in East London with places like Michelin-starred Pidgin and restaurant-cum-butchers Hill & Zrok.

In Manchester, Nelly plays homage to his Lancashire-roots and the personal connection he shares with the city’s eclectic style. From Mary-Ellen McTague who has gone from head chef at the Aubrey to leading The Real Junk Food Project to MasterChef’s Simon Wood and his self-titled restaurant, Wood.

Visiting Edinburgh, Nelly explores some of the more unexpected aspects of Scotland’s foodie scene. Tony Singh shares his unique supper club restaurant in the city, and takes a tour of local suppliers and visiting family run restaurant TimberYard.

The UK is now an international destination for foodies, home of gastronomic wonders for everyone, and now it’s just a direct flight away for our friends Down Under with Etihad.
